Sir Luke

Last week was Royalty Week at preschool. I am so glad Luke had this suit of armor to wear. He loves to play dress up. Thanks Uncle Jerry and Auntie Julia, what a great birthday gift. I took this photo before Luke went off to school. We had a lengthy discussion about why the sword was going to stay at home. ~ha ha~ It was so cute to see the kids dressed up in various Medieval outfits as well as the teacher "Queen Renee". There was even a dragon : )
Luke had a GREAT day!

Go Pinto Diamondbacks!

Baseball is back and in full swing! We are once again involved in P.O.N.Y. Baseball this year. Our season began in February with practices, but the opening day was March 1st. Andy is managing Jake's team for the first time this year and loving it. We are so lucky to have wonderful coaches, one of them being our dear friend (and adopted family) Joe "Pop" Shea. Pop is the father of my dear friend Rachelle and his grandson Nicholas plays on the team with Jake. Many of the children on the team are returners from last year. We are all having such a good time; it has been great getting back with our baseball family again. This will be Jake's last season in the Pinto division and he will move up to the Mustangs next year.
Jake has really come along way from where he was last year at this time. Last season, he spent a lot of time picking the grass and dancing in the outfield. This year he has been doing some pitching, and making great plays as a first baseman. He made some really great catches in the last game as well as hit a booming home run that scored 3 runs! We are very proud of him.
Luke also enjoys going to the ballpark but really isn't to interested in the game. He mostly wants to run around and play under the bleachers with the other little ones. Oh, and of course, we make about 4 trips per game to the snack bar! : )
I am also involved with the league. Many of you already know, but I am the Registrar and Divisional Team Mom. Now that registration is over, I have slowed down some. I do though still stay busy with board member duties that seem to creep up almost every week.
Over all, I must say I like baseball so much better than I did last year; it has really grown on me.
I am not sure how to create a link to the PONY website but the address is : www.vacavilleponybaseball.com
From this website you can check the standing and statistics on our team and Jake as an individual. We are in the Pinto Division and our team is the Diamondbacks.
Hope you enjoy the pictures: )
