Happy Easter!

This year we tried something a little different for Easter . . we went camping! The Dinsdale family and our family celebrated the holiday together in nature : D Although we missed Easter church services, we did have a great time. I think we were all pretty surprised to see how many people were at Stonyford, it was packed! We had lots of fun activities like spoon & egg races, a night time egg hunt, dying eggs and our regular egg hunt Easter morning. The Easter bunny left the children's baskets on their motorcycles. We even made a traditional Easter dinner of ham and all trimmings. The kids had fun riding their dirt bikes and so did we. Luke went on his first ride and I went on a new trail, but poor Jake broke his bike. I think we have decided he is now to big for his 70.
I must say, we really love our trailer. I truly treasure the time we spend together in it and love all of the many adventures it brings us to!

Guess who's 4?

Luke of course! Luke just celebrated his 4th birthday on the 14th of March. He wanted to have it at the Nut Tree theme park and we all had a blast. We celebrated with pizza and cupcakes and after opening all his wonderful presents, we all rode some rides. The adults all went on the train, and I think Auntie Wern liked it the most :D Luke even went on the roller coaster. He had so much fun he rode it twice! Thank you all for making his birthday so special. He truly is loved.

Awards and Sunny Days

Last week Jake received an award from school for outstanding citizenship. He was also star student for his 2ND grade class. He was so excited. We are so proud of him. The award had a free pizza coupon for Mary's Pizza Shack attached to it. Jake loved having his own personal pizza with dinner while we all had regular slices : )
Here are some pictures from the awards assembly. Notice the Egyptian drawings on the wall? The 6Th grade students are just finishing up a unit on Egypt. Jake said they had an assembly this week and the older kids did a play about the Nile River.







After the assembly, I took Luke over to the "big kids" play ground while we waited for Jake to get out of school. He had such a great time! He really did climb all the way to the top of the rock wall, with a little help at the end. : ) It was fun driving the truck and pretending to be a fireman. I think his favorite thing, though, was the teeter totter. I liked it too!





After so many rainy days in January and the greater part of February, we are all happy to welcome the first signs of Spring. It has been beautiful weather around here lately and we sure hope it will stay that way : )
