Give Thanks!

We celebrated yet another holiday with many parties and celebrations. It all began with Luke's Thanksgiving feast at his preschool. It was so much fun and I was so glad to be there and help in his class. Jake also had a pie and popcorn party at his school. We were all so happy that my Mom and Steve were able to come down and celebrate the holiday with us. This was the first Thanksgiving that we held at our house. We have had Christmas eve parties for the last 4 years but never Thanksgiving. We had plenty of food and plenty of family and friends to share the day with. After our feast we played washers and 80's trivial pursuit before diving into the many desserts.
Thank you to all of you for the many gifts you bring to our life. We have so much this year to be thankful for. Most of all we are thankful for our families good health and hope to continue to get clean bills of health from my mom's oncologist over the coming years.

Beautiful Lake Tahoe

Earlier this month we were so lucky to have a chance to visit Lake Tahoe with Uncle Jerry. We had a great trip. We stayed in a beautiful room at Harvey's Resort. While there, we had the most delicious and wonderful meals. From escargot and oysters Rockefeller to burgers and BBQ, it all was great. Of course Jake refused to try the escargot, but had no problem with the banana's foster. - hee hee - We also went on an interesting hike along the Tahoe beach and Taylor Creek to see the salmon spawning. Jerry found a really cool walking stick, and as you can see it made its way into a lot of pictures. :D The walk is along a historic trail that once was home to one of the first casino's in Tahoe, the Baldwin Estate and Tallac Resort. Baldwin was one of the first conservationists and there are signs all around telling of the history.( Including some words by Mark Twain and John Muir ) It was so beautiful to see the fall colors. There is a really neat amphitheater there that has wild life shows in the summer and an area that you can watch the fish inside the river through a glass wall aquarium.

Thank you so much Jerry for taking us. We all had so much fun and created memories that will last forever!

I have already made reservations for the summer to go back! There is a very neat place called Camp Richardson that has RV spots with full hook ups, an ice cream parlor, rentable water equipment, a store and two restaurants. I can't wait to go back, so stayed tuned . . .

Halloween fun!

This Halloween we had so much fun! It seems like we did something fun almost everyday. From sharing wax lip smiles to going to the pumpkin patch and parties, we had great fun with our friends and family. Jake wanted to be a policeman; but, of course not a regular one, he had to be a motorcycle cop. Luke was Peter Pan and Andy Captain Hook. I was a robber to Jake's cop. We went to a pumpkin patch, Halloween parties and downtown to Vacaville's annual Halloween Stroll. It was so fun to see all the kid's that came to our door. Luke loved handing out the candy. It was all great fun! I have so many pictures that I have once again made a slide show.
